ArtCare TV

ArtCare TV is a unique project giving patients unlimited access to art activities and programmes at their bedsides. A year's worth of filming, editing and post-production, co-ordinated by ArtCare's Lesley Meaker has resulted in over an hour's worth of arts programmes now broadcasting via the Patientline system.

The programmes cover a broad range of artforms and include Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum - images of artworks at the museum, including Turner and Constable paintings; Short Cuts - a talking head documentary by Spinal Unit patients and images of local landscapes.

The full schedule is around 40 minutes long and is shown on a continuous loop, along with the Trust Welcome video, free of charge on Patientline's Channel 31.

Information from patient surveys was used to develop this project and ArtCare would like to receive your comments or suggestions to help with future programming. Email the ArtCare office or call on ext. 4884.
