ArtCare Projects Assistant

Hours: 18 hours per week, 9 months fixed contract
Grade: Band 3 £14,834 to £17,732 pa, pro rata
The ArtCare project at Salisbury District Hospital is providing an outstanding arts and health service to benefit patients, visitors and staff. The team is looking for a well organised creative person for the position of Projects Assistant.
The main tasks for this position are to coordinate the staff arts club activities and ArtCare newsletter, maintain database and website and assist the ArtCare team members in specific projects.
As part of the 'The Essentials' team you will receive a personal development plan and relevant training opportunities in line with Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust's commitment to developing people.

Work Experience
ArtCare provides opportunities for students interested in art to spend some time working with the team gaining an insight into arts in health. Tasks are always varied and those on placement can expect to be involved in practical artwork as well as associated administrative tasks.
Students in Years 10 and 11, as well as A-level and degree students have all been on placements with ArtCare. The duration of placements is normally one week working full-time, but other options such as one day a week for a few months would be considered.

Mailing list and Artists' Database
If you would like to receive regular information about ArtCare activities including exhibitions, private views, commissions, the staff arts club and receive the ArtCare newsletter twice a year you can join our mailing list. In addition, the Artists' Database can store up to three images of each individual's work together with a brief CV. The database is used by the team to assist in programming exhibitions, finding suitable artists to facilitate workshops and commissioning artworks. Download a database form >
