Key Stage 2

PSHE - Arts for Life animation 'Do u care?'
Explore the issues of legal and illegal drugs, including alcohol, drugs and medicine. The activities in the pack are designed to encourage an open response to the different themes and suggestions for creative interpretations of the issues and ideas that are raised. Key Stage 3

Art & Design
An introduction to the arts at Salisbury District Hospital. The pack provides information and discussion points that can accompany looking at the artworks on public display. Art Instruction Sheets

Children's Activity Sheets

A set of colourful activity sheets based on artworks around the hospital are available for use by children coming to hospital and their families. Each sheet focuses on a different activity - drawing, writing or a quiz - and is designed to appeal to children aged 6-12 years. Parents can use the sheets to amuse their children on wards or whilst they wait for appointments. Or, if you're looking for ideas to occupy your children during the holidays, why not come and try an activity? The activities are designed to provide a distraction and engage children with the artworks, although not all of the activities require looking at the actual artworks.

ArtCare subscribes to a number of specialist arts magazines including: A-N (Artist Newsletter), Arts Professional, AI (Arts Industry), MailOut, Evolver and Muse. Back issues of these publications are available for hospital staff or local artists to borrow. Please contact the ArtCare office for more details.
